But that does not mean everything is back to normal. There are certain guidelines laid down by airlines such as United Airlines Guidelines COVID-19 to make sure they do not become carriers in the future and passengers feel safe when they choose United Airlines Official Site to Book fly with them.
This blog will feature United’s sincere attempt in battling post-pandemic woes by setting proper guidelines regarding United Airlines Guidelines COVID-19 and designing a COVID policy for the benefit of its passenger. Let’s go through them one by one.
A guide to United Airlines Guidelines COVID-19
Before we go into the guidelines and COVID policy, you must know what the CDC regulations are. First of all, CDC recommends everybody gets the vaccination as soon as possible. People who are fully vaccinated can travel to domestic and international destinations. Some destinations have waivered the need to self-quarantine for those travelers.
United Airlines Guidelines COVID-19 guidelines include Onboard Mask Policy as part of their Ready-to-fly checklist(more on it later) to ensure the safety of passengers and crew alike. It was made clear that passengers who refuse to wear a mask on the plane even after being told by the crew to do so, will have to face consequences. They might be put on an internal travel restriction list by the airlines which may lead to them losing their United Privileges.
This policy will be in effect till further notice. United declared that it is mandatory for all passengers, aged 2 or older to cover their mouth and nose with a face mask for the entire duration of the flight.
By setting United Airlines Guidelines
COVID-19, the airline has become the first airline to apply the Onboard Mask
Policy mandatory on all its flights.
For travelers who are traveling within the United States, the airline is offering the self-collected, mail-in testing option. The order can be placed for PCR Test via e-mail. Please check the passenger’s destination testing requirements.
All travelers planning to travel must
take the test and mail it back within 72 hours of the travel. A digital copy of
the results 24-48 hours before travel will be provided to them. It is advised
to check the destination country's requirements and whether it accepts digital
results or not. Keep a printed copy with you to be on the safer side. The test
costs 119USD which includes shipping charges as well.
United has crafted Ready-to-Fly Checklist to be filled by all passengers before taking the flight.
What is a Ready-to-fly checklist?
The checklist acts as a confirmation
from passenger’s part declaring that they have accepted the airlines’ terms and
conditions.
Passengers must wear a face mask as
per the Federal Law. The mask should be the one that abides by U.S. CDC
guidelines.
The mask must cover their nose and
mouth and should be on at the airport, on the plane, and in the airport
lounges. The must should not be hanging loose and should fit snugly covering
the side of the face.
No bandanas and face shields or
goggles are permitted as a replacement for masks.
Prolonged removal of face mask
purposes such as eating or drinking is not allowed. Lowe the mask during bites
and sips and then put it back on.
Any passenger who refuses to abide by the rules will be refused transport by the airlines.
What are the health
requirements that fall under United Airlines Guidelines COVID-19?
